Animators brought their A-game, especially during the Shrek vs. SH Douluos/TD scenes. Even XW bringing the hurt. Only complaint is that the donghua's tactical explanations are making things more rather than less confusing. A couple times there I was wondering wtf was going on lol. Bibi also never injected herself into the main skirmish--she was way too busy with TS's 13 Halberds, One Goes Without Return..

Yup, it’s way too confusing, you can’t really tell the armies apart. I even thought the apes were from Bibidong’s side and now it seems like they’re from Tai Tan’s family. But if that’s the case, the production studio is inaccurately portraying them because whether it’s ape or dragon, it’s just their martial spirit, they don’t change into beast form unless Tai Tan manages to get real beasts from the forest to fight for them but with the human-beast antagonism, how likely it is for the spirit beasts to help the humans?

This mediocre animation is A-game? I wonder how you rate Fanren, WDQK, BTTH then ;)

If this is A, then those should be SSS++++++++. At least the distance of quality is as much. And this still ranks into quickly mashed up animation

Yea, but they are still light years behind what games do. Some games like Metal gear V or Horizon Forbidden West just give you shivers at the level of real time animation. Especially things like Horizons facial micro expressions and intro into MGS5 Ground Zeroes.

Hell, even action gameplay of some games is smoother animation than most CMA animations

Agreed, games are another level still. Although with 100s of millions $$$ budgets..probably no surprise.

You forget that majority goes everywhere else from publicity, music, script writers, level design, testers, development... cinematics are the least here.

And to make it even more true, go and look on Patreon where people making games seek for supporters. A lot of those were already developed to high end even before they got initial funding.

I don't know if you ever watched old MGO videos where players used gameplay functions to record movies. Those animations were probably better than some made animations here. And all they relied to make those movies was pure online gameplay and players scoping as camera operators while both teams acted according to script.

Tbh, I can't even remember anymore. Imo the novel really went downhill around the final battles (and arguably long before) and I just speed read to the end. Everything was ridiculously rushed so I've forgotten the details.

I wouldn't say they hate the show, its more to do with bandwidth and hosting. Trimming the files to remove the intro and ending credits decreases the file size. They host their files on Dailymotion for their site which has no viewable costs, but that does not mean there are none as other cloud hosting sites start off at $12 per month for videos and increase over time.

Also, they've only done it on a couple of episodes so it's obvious they are trying to cut costs down due to lack of donations from viewers on their site. Another bonus for trimming the videos as they are doing is that it makes it much easier for those who want to combine the video's later so that they can sit down and watch more than 15 minutes of a show at a time when rewatching.

They've also been doing the same for swallowed star for the past 6 episodes and it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't trim the other shows that they are subbing too. I usually watch on animexin's site for subs and download swallowed star from myanime live due to the subs only being available through selecting them.

I’ve been saying this for weeks but unfortunately not many fans like to hear criticism. The production studio has been nerfing TS without end, in the novel, Bibi can’t touch him when he’s having his trident. That’s why she would always tactically make TS throw his trident (at her) and without the trident at his side, Bibi can easily injure him. Even if she’s already at level 99 and TS is just 93, the trident is a divine artifact, no mortals can defeat the wielder. Similarly TS can’t defeat his great grandfather even with the trident because the old great gramp is also having a divine artifact: the Asura Demon Sword. Asura Godis way more powerful than Rakshasa God, Angel God or even the Sea God. So unless Bibi uses her Rakshasa God divine artifact (which she will), she can never touch TS.

I don’t remember much about ep185 and to be honest, I lost my enthusiasm and excitement for the show, hence my attention is somewhat lukewarm. But yes, it’s true that it was the Sea God who defeated Bibidong but in the novel, TS fought tooth and nail before the Sea God appeared at the very last moment and even without his help, TS would have gotten away. He was just an ingenious badass. He plays his strength to the maximum plus he was always “hidden”. Trying to locate a genius in the dark wasn’t that easy for Bibidong and co. That was the main reason why TS was able to gain the upper hand in this fight. Nowhere in the novel was TS so overpowered like in the animation, that even the pansy Chrysanthemum Douluo was able to beat him.

Yeah no surprise there. There are noticeable power inconsistencies in the novel, welp..

Now...only feeling the absence of Tang San's Father...Maybe he forgot about revenge as Tang San's mother is revived and enjoying the moment with her..:p
